A missing toddler, 2-year-old Dane Paulsen, has been found after an extensive search that began on March 1.
Authorities confirmed on March 11 that his body was discovered in the Siletz River, approximately three miles downstream from his family’s property.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office announced that Paulsen was found deceased, and the investigation is ongoing in coordination with the Lincoln County Medical Examiner’s Office. Volunteer diver Juan Heredia from Angels Recovery Dive Team, guided by a local river expert, located the child at 11:13 a.m.
Sheriff Adam Shanks expressed deep sorrow for the family’s loss and thanked the search teams and community. Authorities asked for privacy for the grieving family during this difficult time.
